When Repair Becomes Replacement

There are situations where a repair is not the right answer. We will tell you when we reach one.

If the roof deck has widespread rot or structural damage, repairs to the surface will not solve the underlying problem. If the shingles have lost most of their granules across the full field, the roof is past its effective lifespan and ongoing repairs become poor value. If there are already multiple layers on the roof and the material underneath has failed, adding another repair layer compounds the problem.
